Recognizing the Medicine Lodge’s Commitment to Excellence
Nelson House Medicine Lodge was formerly accredited by Accreditation Canada (formerly Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation) and was awarded the agency’s maximum three-year accreditation, which extended to November 2011. Shortly after the Medicine Lodge began a two-year interruption of services from construction and renovations. With the expiration of the accredited status, the Medicine Lodge has now engaged in the capable services of Alberta-based Canadian Accreditation Council. NHML is optimistic and confident they will achieve 100% full-accreditation status by September 2018 to become accredited for 1 to 3 years.
The board, staff and residents will develop a three-year strategic directional plan which includes the annual operational plan that will be updated annually.
