Recognizing the Medicine Lodge’s Commitment to Excellence

The Nelson House Medicine Lodge Treatment Centre is proud to be accredited by the Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC) under the 2019 Edition of Standards, a nationally recognized framework that promotes quality, safety, and accountability in human service organizations. These evidence-based standards support continuous improvement across programs serving adults, children, families, and individuals accessing health services. By aligning with CAC standards, the Medicine Lodge demonstrates its commitment to strong governance, effective leadership, and high-quality service delivery for the individuals and communities it supports.

The Centre successfully received its CAC accreditation on December 8, 2023, recognizing that its programs and operations meet rigorous national standards across areas such as governance and leadership, practice models, service delivery, and quality improvement.
